2011 Year of Reflection

2011 Year of Reflection

Four more days until 2012! This year had been a great year for me, probably the best one I’ve ever experience and I know the best is yet to come! With God on my side, it can only get better and better. From the beginning of 2011 I called it, The Year of Elimination. It was my year to remove distractions, people, and activities that was hindering me in every way, especially with my relationship with God. God has placed many goals in my heart and I believe He will help me achieve all of them. However, I believe He needs me to be in a place of focus, focusing on Him as my ONLY source. When it came to eliminate people from my life, I have to admit that part was easy! I realize there were just too many people in my surroundings that add absolutely nothing to my well-being; in fact they were more detrimental. They tried to burden me with their issues and steal the Joy of the Lord from me, because of all the things God has blessed me with. There is nothing like being around miserable people! Day in and day out, they had no joy, nothing to be thankful for, just complaints after complaints, issues after issues. They whispered, conspire, gossip and told lies, paying attention to everyone else lives, but their own, which was crumbling. To top if off, they thought I would want to be a part of their foolish world. I was praying to God for two months to show me the unseen, and He did. He showed me little hints of these people hearts that was filled with jealousy, envy and pure wickedness and eventually their true colors appeared. Thank God for a God, who sees ALL, even the deepest parts of our heart.

Anyone who knows me knows I have absolutely no tolerance for negativity and that it one of the things I truly despise. It takes me a long long time before I actually consider anyone a friend. They must pass the trust test and once they fail it, they are no longer considered a friend, but an acquaintance, and for the evil doers, pure strangers. Mama did not raise any fool! You will be surprise how many people, who are just acquaintance.  I’m also thankful for all my true good friends, many who have been with me for years and know me, they know what I stand for and everything that I am about. In these friendships, none of us had issues of jealousy, envy, lying, gossiping behind each other’s back- we all are supportive of each other’s goals and we each truly admire each other’s abilities and talents. That is why it’s imperative to be with like minded people and people who see things positively, have high self-esteem, and believe in their selves, those are the kind of friends I have and I truly appreciate them all and I thank God for them. I am also truly thankful for all the new friends I have met and are just as fun and supportive as my old friends. Some people will try to pretend to be your “friend”, but don’t be fool, always pray to God, to reveal their true characters, it will eventually come out and you will see the light. Those who are meant to be in your life will be and those who are not, well, just look around, they are gone. Don’t waste time with people who are gossipers, liars, envious, complainers, backbiters, trouble makers, disobedient to God’s word and purpose, prideful, haughty, quick to do evil, revengeful, hypocrites, etc. These types of people will only cause you to harvest their bad emotions and habits and God will deal with them accordingly, you don’t want to be a part of that. Always live your life with higher standards, and those who are meant to be around you will follow and those who are not will disappear. In any regards, I made the changes, and now my circle have been the tightest ever! And I know God knows why and what will come out of it.

At the end of the day, I had the Joy of the Lord and my peace, which I cherish. During this year, I also clearly understood what my purpose was and what I have been called to do in the Kingdom of God. I would share, but some things are best kept private, until the appointed time to be reveal, so stay tune! God has truly been on my side every step of the way. So I encourage you to make God first in your life and truly seek Him. I can ensure you no one can come against you, without the consequences of facing God. People will try to harm you or try to cause trouble in your life, when they see the blessing and favor of the God in your life, but remember God sees everything and knows their heart and the meditation of their evil thinking. He will take care. It may be hard to do, but be still, silent, let go and let God.  God will bless you when you are faithful, truthful, forgiving, self-less, helpful to those around you, and focus to do His will. Stay on God side and He will be on yours. God got lots of blessing in store for you and His ready to hand it to you; will you be where He needs you to be, so you can receive it?
