How to Pray Scriptures

There are many people out there who do not know how to pray, because of this, some do not pray or don’t want to pray. However, prayer is important in our lives. Prayer changes things. Prayer is your communication time with God and eventually you will need to pray. You are no longer bound to what you don’t know; knowledge is power and prayer is power. So, don't be left powerless in neither. Here's how to pray using scriptures: First thing first, is to get your bible and/or concordance and find the issue you are dealing with and take scriptures pertaining to that issue and put in a prayer. Here are some examples:

Healing:
Based on scriptures: Jeremiah 17:14; Isaiah 53:4-5

Heal me, Lord and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise. Lord, I thank you according to your word in Isaiah 53:4-5, Jesus borne my sickness and carry my sorrows, and by His stripes I am healed. I thank you for my healing. I believe it. I receive it, in Jesus name Amen.

Financial Difficulties:
Based on scriptures: Psalm 37:5; Psalm 34:10; Philippians 4:19

Lord, you say if I commit my ways to you and trust you, you will establish them. I commit my ways and my needs to you and I trust you Lord. I believe according to Philippians 4:19, you will supply all of my needs. Those who seek the Lord shall not lack anything good. I believe my needs will be met and I receive your guidance concerning my finances, in Jesus name I believe and receive. Amen.

Depression:
Based on scriptures: Deuteronomy 31:6; Proverbs 3:5-6; Psalm 9:9; Psalm 27:14; Psalm 34:18; Psalm 55:22

God I believe in your word, when you say you will never leave me nor forsake me. Help me focus; trust and lean on your Lord and not on lean on my own understanding. I will trust and wait on you Lord. Lord you are my help in times of trouble. According to Psalm 34:18, the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Thank you for being near to me and for saving me. I will cast all my cares onto you, for you care for me. I believe it and receive your word of encouragement and healing in my life, in Jesus name, Amen.

Martial Problems:
Based on scriptures: Matthew 19:4: John 14:26; 1 John4:7-8; 1 Corinthians 13; Ephesians 5:21; 1Corinthians 7:2-5; Galatians 5:22

Lord according to your word, what you have joined together is one flesh and we refuse to allow situations and people to come between us in our marriage, we trust in you, our marriage is in your hands and we come to you for guidance. Holy Spirit I pray that you teach us how to love one another, how to be patience with each other, trust one another and communicate with patience and love. According to 1 Corinthians 13:5, love is not self-seeking, it’s not easily angered, and it keeps no wrongs. We have the fruit of the Spirit in us, which is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control and we pray that we grow in these and practice the fruit of the Spirit in our marriage. I believe we have a peaceful, loving marriage, in Jesus name, Amen.

Needing Protection:
Based on Psalms 121:5-8; Psalm 91; Psalm 27:1-3

Thank you Lord that angels encamp around me, and my family and protect our going in and our going out. You Lord, are my light and salvation, what can man do to me? In you I will trust. Thank you for watching over our life, even as we sleep. According to Psalm 91:9-11, you are my refuge, even
the Most High, my dwelling place, No evil shall befall me, Nor shall any plague come near my dwelling; For you shall give your angels charge over me and my family members, to keep us in all your ways. In Jesus name Amen.

You do not need to complicate your prayer life. You do not have to not pray. God wants to answer our prayers and in Isaiah 55:11, God says His word does not return void, so praying scriptures can only enhance your prayers and draw you closer to God. Now you can start to pray effective prayers and get answers to your prayers. God Bless!

Scriptures to Meditate on:

Matthew 7:7-11 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone?  Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?  If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”

Matthew 21:21-22 Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

Psalm 86:6 Hear my prayer, LORD; listen to my cry for mercy.”

Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

Colossians 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”

Psalm 6:9 The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer.”
